Posted: Fri Aug 22, 2008 6:31 pm Post subject: New Mod BBcode
This guide is for a Mod Actions BBCode .
This guides allow a Moderator or an Admin to highlight any edits they have made to a post. If a post has been modded , then that post can not be edited or deleted by the original poster.
To make this work the moderator or Admin would have to enter the BBcode of
Code:

and
Code:
[/mod]
So it may look like this
Code:
[mod] Your message here [/mod]
Or you can follow the guide at the very bottom to add a mod button.
Examples are shown at the bottom of this guide.

Now scroll down to the bottom of the page and click onUpdate Portal Parameters.

PLEASE note that if you already have a bbstyle(18) then change the code above to a new number for example 20 or 22, as long as you have not already have that number. You will need to change the addbbcode18 and the bbstyle(18) part of the code.
Added extra
To tidy things up a little you can leave an automated message when some one uses the mod code.
Here is an example
To do this goto Your admin panel --- 3. Styles --- Portal Settings
Click on BBcode
Now scroll down to where you just added the code from above and change
start =
Code:
<div class="mod">
To something like
start =
Code:
<div class="mod">Moderated by a member of staff<br/>
Scroll to bottom of page then click on update portal parameters.
And thats "HOWTODOIT"
