This guide is for the CashMod  hack.

Please remember to use the Editor account before making any template changes

Second you must have all ready a template you can edit.

If you have not done this please read HOWTODOIT

Ok all that done you now goto Your  admin panel ---  3. Styles --- Portal Settings

You will now see a screen that looks like this



If you do not  see the  portals named Shop , Actions , then Please go to the support forum and request admin adds them for you. (Please check properly first before requesting.)

You need to set up an xprofile called CASH

1. Goto admin panel --- 2. Profile Fields ---

You now see a screen that looks something like this.



At the bottom enter CASH and click on add custom profile field

You now see a screen like this.



Fill in the details to suit your needs. You can copy what i have in the picture this will work, or read the guide in the spoiler.

Spoiler:



Field name = CASH(do not change)
Displayed title = Bank (you can Change this to what you want)
Topic display position = Under Avatar (Change this to suit you, or if you want to add it in yourself then leave as none)
Automatic Entry = Yes (leave as Yes)
Automatic Display = No (leave as No)
Required = No (leave as no)
Display at user registration
= No ( No point displaying this as it will not show till they have made a post.)
Visibility = All (leave as All)
Access = Admin (leave As Admin)
Type = Text (leave as text)
Default = Blank ( Do not put anything in this box)
Link = Leave as blank.
Maximum characters = 120 (Leave as it is )
Character width = 12 (leave as it is)
Display as image = Leave blank, This is for very advanced users only.
Style = width: 200px (leave as it is)



Now click Update.


Ok all that done you now goto Your  admin panel ---  3. Styles --- Portal Settings

You will now see a screen that looks like this



If you do not already see a portal named ACTIONS then Please Make a post on the support forum requesting Admin add it.(Please look very carefully before requesting this.)

Click on Actions and you should see a screen like this.

Parameters for the component type
Action 1  

Name 1 POSTCASH Name of this action. (DO NOT CHANGE)
Enabled 1 Disabled Enabled To make it work click enable..
Trigger 1    Here you have the choice of when the members get their cash, so if you want them to only have cash if they start a topic set it to start topic, reply means only when they reply, and so on, any posts mean they will gain cash for staring topics , voting.
Who 1   Here you have the choice of which member gets the cash for example the topic starter or the last one to reply, to make it set for anyone that's who starts who replies etc then set it to poster.
Forum Trigger 1 This determines which sections on your forum will members be paid. If you wish to add it to all areas leave this as all but those in list.
Forum list 1    Here is where you put the forum id of the sections you do not wish to use the cash mod. (please see guide below)
Trigger Member Level 1   Member Level will allow every member to use the cash mod and gain cash for posting etc, setting it to admins and mods etc will only allow the admin and mods to gain money.
Group 1  If you set the above to group members then you must place the group  name here  (only for the Group Members Only option
Trigger Member Level 1 Same as Above
Group 1 Same As Above
XPROFILE field 1 CASH (as we set it up as CASH its best to leave this as it is.) Which XPROFILE field is effected
Command 1 ADD (leave as add).
Amount 1 Enter a number here if you put in 10 then each post will be worth 10
Flags 1    Please leave blank this is for Advanced users only



Forum list

To find the number of the forum where you do not wish the cash mod to be activate, all you have to do is enter a section or area for example general chat then look at your address bar you will see the forum id number, it is this that you have to add followed by a comma for each section so for example 1,2,3,4,5,6,




Now look at the section below marked Action 2 and make sure that

XPROFILE field 2 is set to some different than CASH you can just enter a 1 after so it will look like CASH1






Now you have several places This can appear I will list the main 3.

(A) In profile view


(B) In view topic



(C) In Member list




Goto  admin panel ---   3. Styles ---  Edit Templates/Logos -- the template you wish to edit (EG myff_howtodoit1)--- Submit

Now  look at the top in the area marked Choose Forum template/javascript/css File to Edit use the  drop down bar and find the correct file

For view (A)

profile_view_body.tpl

You should now see the code like this

So if you wanted it to appear after interests you would add

Goto viewtopic_body.tpl

Now place where you wish it to be for my example if you wish it to be after location then find

Please follow the guide on xprofiles in memberlist found HERE

Just remember to called all edits CASH and not KARMA.


This is only a basic guide to allow your members to gain cash by posting or replying.

You can use this with the shop mod to allow your members to buy virtual gifts.
